Why Visit

Why Doha Should Be Your Next Trip

Doha blends Arabian tradition with ultramodern architecture -- the Museum of Islamic Art designed by I.M. Pei, Souq Waqif restored as a traditional market, and the Pearl-Qatar artificial island define this sophisticated Gulf capital. Qatar's city is compact, safe, and increasingly cosmopolitan, with world-class museums like the National Museum of Qatar designed by Jean Nouvel, a thriving food scene from street-side shawarma to fine dining, and the desert inland sea just beyond the skyline. Doha hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Seasons

Best Time to Visit Doha

November through March offers the best weather with pleasant 18-28 degrees C for outdoor activities at the Corniche and Katara Cultural Village. April-May and October are shoulder months. Summer (June-September) is extremely hot at 45 degrees C+ with lowest flight and hotel prices. Air-conditioned spaces make summer manageable but outdoor exploration is limited to early morning and evening. December is the peak tourist season with special events.
